Howdy! Are you an author interested in having your book reviewed by Biscuits & Bodices? We're glad you found us!
Before we begin, let's review a bit of housekeeping. At Biscuits and Bodices, we will look at every single book we receive. That said, we may NOT review every book we receive.
Our philosophy for this page is pretty simple: if we like a book, we’re going to review it. If we don’t, we’re not. This is not to say that we love every book we read. In reality, by rough counts, we each review less than half of the books we read (or at least start reading). Not every book is a winner. We’ve read books by authors we LOVE that have just fallen flat. We’ve read books that are amazing and then suddenly take a cliff dive right at the end.⠀
If you give us a book to read or recommend a book and you don’t see it on this page, it might be that we just haven’t gotten to it yet. Or it might be that we, frankly, didn’t have enough positive things to say about it. We always try to review books with one question in mind: Is this book succeeding at what it’s trying to be? If yes, we’re willing to overlook the hiccups that a book might have. If no, we’ll quietly resign it.
